The first stamped Bailey & Co., probably John Wendt, New York, circa 1862; third and fourth J. E. Caldwell, probably Peter Krider, Philadelphia
All engraved with initial M, each ladle unknown pattern name, with shaped deep oval bowl, the curved stem headed by Classical profile medallion, the smaller with Minerva, the soup ladle--12in. (30.4cm.) long; the remainder with shaped Old English pattern type stem, bright-cut engraved and topped by medallion of Apollo Belvedere, with gilt bowl, the larger engraved--9½in. (24.1cm.) long, 11oz. (4)
