A GREEK GEOMETRIC POTTERY HANDLED BEAKER, the squat body with tall, wide cylindrical neck, the strap handle with connecting 'strut' and decorated with black painted ladder pattern and two dotted crosses, the neck frieze with three 'metopes' each containing a long-necked bird with a swastika and dotted rosettes in the field, vertical lines and zizag between, bands of encircling straight and wavy lines above and below, late 8th Century B.C.
