AN ATTIC RED-FIGURE JAR, with twin vertical handles (one restored), the round mouth with everted lip, the spherical body with a figural panel on each side:
Side A: showing a young woman moving to the right, wearing a flowing chiton and spotted himation which flies out behind her, holding a lekythos in her left hand and a phiale in her right hand, flanked by scrolling tendrils, two rosettes in the field,
Side B: showing a youth running to the left, wearing a short tunic, conical pilidion and laced boots, holding a large circular shield on his left arm and a spear in his right hand, a scrolling tendril and rosette in the field,
both panels with tongued border below and ovolo border above, circa 5th Century B.C.
