A GERMAN SILVER THREE-PIECE SILVER TEA SERVICE
Apparently Hamburg, circa 1830
Comprising teapot, two-handled open sugar basin and cream jug, each broadly lobed bombé circular, on four spreading supports headed by bear's mask, the sides chased with alternate bold blossom and fruit, and paired pendant blossoms, each on matted ground, two lobes with cartouche, with everted floral and scroll rim, the teapot with shell capped spout, part silver applied bone scroll handle, the hinged partly raised decorated cover topped by large fluted bone button finial--6in. (15.2cm.) high, gross weight 61oz. (3)
