Another exceptional vintage. The Summer's heatwave concentrated the sugar and September's early morning mists provided perfect conditions for the formation of boytritis.
Whatever the growing season, Climens can be relied upon to produce the best possible wine. In a vintage like 1989 it excels; a luscious peaches-and-cream richness. Lovely smooth texture, great length and aftertaste. Superb, and it would seem, underpriced. J.M.B.
