A VICTORIAN SILVER FIVE PIECE TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE
maker's mark of John Edward Terrey, London, 1843

Each of shaped-square form with incurved angles, comprising a teapot and coffee pot, each with curved spout and hinged domed cover, a tea caddy with lock plate, central divider and hinged domed cover, a two handled sugar basin and a milk jug, each engraved with vacant cartouches, birds, scrolls and foliage, the underside of the coffee pot engraved with inscription dated 1844, marked on bases and covers, the underside of the tea caddy stamped 'WORDLEY & MAYER LIVERPOOL FECIT' 10¼in. (26cm.)
