comprising a selection of suras, manuscript on buff paper, 26ff. plus two flyleaves, each with 8ll. of elegant black naskh within gold clouds, punctuation in red, gold roundels between verses, blue, red, green and gold margins between black rules, blue outer rule, gold outer margin between black rules, sura headings in red thuluth within gold clouds, (negligible smudging and staining, slightly trimmed, a few folios splitting at spine), gold and polychrome illuminated heading on the opening folio, opening bifolio with two-tone gold and black scrolling palmette vine in the margins, (split down one margin), colophon on final folio signed by Ahmad al-Neirizi and dated 1120, blue silk covered binding with red and gold morocco border, red morocco doublures, (light wear)
