a prayer book, Arabic manuscript on blue, cream and yellow paper with stamped neo-classical and meandering vine borders, marked 'Dobbs, London', Persian interlinear translation in red, 38ff. plus four flyleaves, each with 7ll. of strong black naskh within black rules and gold clouds, gold margins between black rules, blue outer margin, headings in red on gold cartouches in illuminated panels, (negligible smudging and staining), opening folio with gold and polychrome illuminated heading, colophon on final folaio signed by Muhammad Kazim Gul Paygani and dated 1266, brown lacquer binding painted with floral sprays within gold meandering vine borders (negligible wear to edges), maroon lacquer doublures with gold ruled margins
