an erotic poem, Persian manuscript on light buff paper, 49ff. plus six flyleaves, each with a gold and polychrome illuminated panel containing two columns of couplets written diagonally within gold clouds, some lines in blue on gold panels, gold margins between black rules, blue outer rule, each panel with gold and black floral marginal half-medallion with blue edge, (negligible smudging and staining, folios slightly trimmed), opening folio with illuminated heading, two others similar on ff.7v. and 24r., with three contemporary miniatures in gouache heightened with gold and silver illustrating the text, black morocco binding with Safavid style gold central panel stamped with a tree and animals
