A SAFAVID STYLE ENGRAVED COPPER KETTLE with spherical body and pointed top surmounted by the looping arched handle, S-shaped spout, on spreading trumpet foot, the exterior engraved with bands of interlaced arabesques forming an ogival lattice between minor beaded and plain stripes, the upper section with similar flutes, the handle with similar interlaces meandering arabesque vine, Kashmir or possibly Turkestan, late 18th century (rubbed)
