A WALLENDORF CHINOISERIE ARCHED RECTANGULAR TEA-CADDY AND COVER, each side painted in the Meissen style with Orientals at various pursuits, boiling kettles and before tables on grassy mounds among flowering shrubs, the short sides with indianische Blumen, beneath a band of gilt loops with pendant husks and dots, the shoulders with scattered insects and the cover with strap finial, blue W mark to base of neck, circa 1775
