Contemporary red straight-grained morocco gilt, edges gilt (some light staining). Provenance: Henry Howard, Jr. of Corby, presumably the son of Henry Howard of Corby Castle (1757-1842), author of the Scriptual History of the Earth and of Mankind, 1797 (signature on title).
