An Unusual 11-Bore Irish Flintlock Coachman's Pistol
By Clarke, Dublin, circa 1800
With slightly belled gun-metal barrel engraved with a band of foliage at the muzzle and breech, fitted with iron fore-sight, and engraved with a loop on the top flat of the breech, engraved iron tang incorporating the back-sight, signed border engraved flat lock with roller and semi-rainproof pan, figured walnut full stock (minor bruising, butt with old repair), engraved iron mounts including trigger-guard with pineapple finial, and later horn-tipped ramrod, the butt cut for an attachable shoulder-stock (one barrel-bolt replaced)
