by CARL ZEISS JENA Germany Nr.171124, with draw-tube and rack and pinion focusing and micrometer fine adjustment, triple nosepiece, substage condensor and plano-concave mirror, the main limb tilting via a joint to the enamelled horseshoe foot, with Zeiss A (8), D (40) and 2 Homogene Immersion (90) objectives, and one unmarked, all in tins, and Zeiss 10x and 5x eyepieces, and an Olympus K20x, in the original fitted wooden case with a stamp for Zeiss on the inside of the door, and a plaque for Merkel Optical Co. Inc. New York City, with carrying handle -- 13½in. (34.3cm.) high; and a 19th-Century lacquered-brass simple student's microscope, with ball and socket joint to the horseshoe foot -- 8¼in. (21cm.) high
