A finely engineered 1½in. scale model of the Allchin single cylinder two-speed four-shaft general purpose traction engine "Royal Chester",
built by T.R. Little with brazed copper boiler with blued steel-clad barrel and fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, injector, water-lift, clack and blowdown valves, the engine with details including cylinder 1in. bore x 1½in. stroke, trunk-type crosshead guide, footplate-controlled draincocks, mechanical lubricator, Stephenson's link reverse, counterbalanced crankshaft, eccentric-driven feed pump and bypass, two roadspeeds and spoked, straked wheels with brass hubcaps, worm and roller chain steering, spud pan, sprung front axle, footplate controlled damper, cable drum, cable and fairleads, band brake to third shaft, water lift, and pipe, wooden footboard with tool box under, chequer plate steps, firing irons and other details, finished in green, red, black and polished brightwork -- 16¾ x 26in. (42.5 x 68cm.)
