A small Annaberg stoneware pewter-mounted dated apostle jug Circa 1677
(Apostelkrug) the slightly bulbous body moulded in relief and painted with enamels in various colours, depicting; Jesus, Matthew, Thomas, Bartholomy and Peter, flanked by stylised flowers, underneath a white band with their names inscribed in latin, the base inscribed Anno 1677, the loop handle with a heart, a saltire cross and hatches, the flat terraced cover connected with a flattened ball thumbpiece to the handle
