(Kronengeier) after a model by Johann Gottlieb Kirchner with the assistance of Johann Joachim Kaendler for the Japanese Palace (1734), the naturalistically modelled bird with elaborate plumage, its head bending forward, perched on a gnarled treetrunk applied with a branch (discoloured restorations)
