A Meissen figure of a swordsman Circa 1755, marked with small underglaze blue crossed swords to the back
(Kavalier mit Degen) gilt and painted in colours, modelled by Johann Joachim Kaendler, the young man with tricorn hat on his light brown long curly hair, standing sidewards in front of a high treetrunk, wearing; a pink-lined white coat, green vest and white breeches, reaching out for his sword hanging on his left side, on oval base moulded with rocaille scrolls in colours and applied with flowers (restored)
