Gilt and painted in colours, modelled as two putti leaning on an overturned celestial globe, one gazing through a telescope, the other measuring the distance between two stars on the globe with a compass, another telescope, a book and a protractor at their feet, on shaped oval rocaille base (minor restorations and damages)
