1748-1750, marked to the back with small underglaze blue crossed swords
Modelled by Johann Joachim Kaendler, inspired by an engraving after Antoine Watteau, the young man wearing; wide breeches, a waistcoat, a jacket and a hat, holding a mandolin in his hands, standing on a square brick plinth in front of rockwork (two fingers and the upper part of the mandolin chipped)
