A Meissen ormolu-mounted tankard and cover
19th century, marked with faint blue crossed swords
(Deckelhumpen) gilt and painted in colours with a central landscape vignette depicting three drinking and smoking gentlemen at a table, flanked by flowerspays, the borders with puce scale-pattern decoration, the flat cover with domed sides decorated en suite with apple finial, with flattened broad loop handle decorated en suite (the gilt slightly faded)
