Collation: π6 a-o8 p6 ξ6 q-z A-K8 KK4 L-U aa-bb8 cc-dd6 (π1 blank, π2 tabula, a1r prologue, title-list of book 1, a1v book 1, dd6v blank). 386 leaves. 66 lines and headline, double column. Type: 2:180G (headlines and headings), 3:90G (text), printed guide-letters. 9-line initial in purple, green, gold and silver (oxidized) opening prologue, 2-8-line initials and paragraph marks alternating in red and blue. (Small wormholes affecting some letters in first and last few quires, some light marginal dampstaining, minor fraying at a few extreme lower margins in first and final leaves.) Contemporary pigskin over wooden boards, blindstamped, title stamped and lettered on front cover, (missing corner and central bosses and 2 fore-edge clasps and some brass edge pieces), author's name written on fore-edge, pigskin index tabs; stamps not in Kyriss/Schwenke-Sammlung, although one is very similar to K 139, stamp 5. Provenance: front cover stamped C C L at a later date.

FIRST EDITION. The collation differs from that in BMC, Pellechet and Polain, which call for quire p12; here it is p6 ξ6 as the sewing, watermarks and contemporary MS. quiring indicate.
