Title with woodcut device (neat repair tu upper outer margin), engraved title with map of the Netherlands in the form of a lion, engraved portrait of the author on verso of []4, 55 engraved plates inlcuding 25 portraits and 30 folding views, mainly of battles. (A little light marginal soiling.) Old vellum (lightly soiled, small crack to bottom of front joint). Provenance: Dr. Ewald Mayer (book-plate); and 6 others. (7)
