A formal account of General Guenand reminding Napoleon that he had said "I am as well pleased with your conduct at Parma as I was at Marengo, what is your wish...you shall have it. He acknowledges that political reasons that may have prevented the First Consul from making the appointment, confessing "I no longer understand this way of making war," requesting to be posted as General to Brussels, and adding that he has the support of the King and Queen of Spain -- BUONAPARTE, JOSEPH. Document signed ("Buonaparte"). [Ajaccio, Corsica], 26 November 1790. 1 page, 4to, 220 x 180 mm. (8½ x 7¼ in.), "Les Administrateurs du Directoire du Départment Corse," letterhead stationery, lightly browned. In French. A document dealing with civic business, signed by eight town officials - including Buonaparte.
