woven with staggered rows of boteh on pale green leafy bases enclosing small blue, pink and yellow flowers, the ground between with small scale palmettes and flowers on meandering stems, Persian, 19th century, with embroidered calligraphic cartouche to one corner, (lower edge hemmed)--140cm x 280cm
