Circa 1780, the dial and movement signed IMBERT L'AINE A PARIS
In the form of Venus and Cupid, beside a classical temple with ribbon-tied laurel leaf cresting incorporating the circular enamelled dial with Roman and Arabic chapters, with silk-suspended pendulum, the breakfront rectangular base cast with scrolling foliage on toupie feet
