MAKER'S MARK OF JACQUES-HENRI FAUCONNIER, PARIS, 1819-1838
The krater-shaped body on square pedestal base raised on lion's paw supports headed by honeysuckle, with stiff leaf and palmette bands, the lower part of the body with a calyx of vertical flutes, anthemion and water leaves, applied at the shoulder with a band of musical and floral trophies, the spout with lion head terminal and ebony handle, with two upright scroll handles terminating in bearded masks, the flat removable cover with bud finial.
