A pay warrant for a member of the governing Council: "Pay to The Honorable Jonathan Hoge Esqr. or order the sum of Thirty two pounds eleven shillings in full for his attendance as a Member of Council from the 29th of May to the third of July 1787 both days included -- and his mileage." The warrant bears a a particularly fine Franklin signature.
