Carved in the form of a large eagle attacking a struggling monkey, the talons of the bird gripping the neck and back of the monkey and the monkey growling and attempting to repulse the bird by pulling its wing, details etched and stained, unsigned, himotoshi formed by the spaces created by the wings--1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm.) high
