Comprising two hairpins with dragon head finial, the horned head very finely crafted with bulging eyes, flared snout and jaw agape to reveal its teeth and tongue, one enhanced by a ruby surmount, to the tapered openwork shaft; a pair of hairpins with each lantern-shaped finial decorated with shou medallions in gold filigree; four hairpins with pearl, coral bead, amber or blue glass finial, each enhanced by a gold filigree cupola of overlapping lotus petal motif; and a pair of gold earpick hairpins (minor losses, ruby to dragon head finial a later replacement), Qing dynasty, the longest 12 cm. overall
