The thick quadrangular tablet with smoothly polished sides, drilled with two holes to one end, opposite the side with the bevelled edge, the other three edges well rounded (minor losses to the edges)

Lot Essay

This stone axe was most probably from Northwest China, either in what is now Guangxu or Shanxi province, as the material originates from that region.
