A RARE BLUE AND WHITE STEM-DISH
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN A LINE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)

The stem-dish is well potted raised on a stem with splayed foot finely painted in rich cobalt blue tones with a sinuous scaly dragon pursuing a flaming pearl, above a carp swimming in a sea of turbulent waves breaking against rocks, the steep low rim of the dish decorated on the exterior with a band of interlocking scrolls, the reign mark written in a line within the foot (rim hairline)
