A LAPIS LAZULI VASE AND COVER GROUP

The vase of flattened baluster form, pierced and carved with a pair of deer on adjacent rockwork beneath pine and pawlonia trees, a crane to one side, the vase carved in low relief on the reverse with spreading pine, all below triple loop handles at the waisted neck, the domed cover with recumbent goose finial, the stone of deep blue tone with areas of white mottling and gold speckling (cover with old damage)
