LATE 19TH CENTURY

Finely worked in couched gold thread and multi-colored satin stitch on the front and back with central dragon roundels surrounded by shou- character roundels incorporating a wide variety of flowers and plants, including peach, peony, chrysanthemum, lingzhi, bamboo, wisteria and nandina, reserved on black, all above the terrestrial diagram and lishui stripe at the hem, with smaller matching roundels at the cuffs
