Kenneth, Theatrical Agent & Book Seller, Bow Street, Covent Garden, saying that he 'had to give Planche and Dance #5 for Olympic Devils, I have produced it in very splendid style with Mrs Gibbs (late Miss Graddon) as Orpheus' but doubting he can 'make it pay: they are not fond of Pieces on this subject in Scotland -- I am again in want of a leading lady ... you know the qualifications young, simple, dashing & of passable good figure & pretty to undertake the following business comedy, medlodramatic and tragedy', asking for Kenneth's help in finding the right person if 'Miss Clarkson' cannot be contacted, '#2 per week in Glasgow, #1 15 in Carlisle are the salaries ...'; with the cut out autograph of Edmund Kean; and a collection of unrelated letters and documents, most theatrical, from Charles Dibdin, Charles Kemble, W.C. Macready, Henry Irving, Dion Boucicault the Elder, Herbert Beerbohm Tree and others.
