A blue-ground Vienna-style plate, painted in colours with a gipsy girl in a red dress and green shawl playing a hurdy-gurdy, signed "Beuthe" within a border reserved with ovals and diamonds and enriched with scrolling foliage in raised gilding, the reverse inscribed in blue "Mädchen uFiemde"-- 9½in. diam; and another painted with a girl in loosely draped robes dancing, signed "Bauerz" within a blue and raised border, the reverse inscribed "Tanz Bajadere", both with blue beehive marks, late 19th Century -- 9½in. diam.
