A Japanese bronze tazza, the circular top incised with lotus and supported on a tapering cylindrical waisted stepped base with pierced ho-o handles, decorated in gilt, silver, hiramakie and takamakie with a shaped panel of a figure standing before a flowering prunus tree, the reverse with a crane standing before pine and clouds, a band of magnolia around the rim of the tazza, a band of lotus around the base -- 16¼in.high.
