FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE BINDING, of Pound's first regularly published book, one of about 500 copies of this edition, PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: "Francis Meynell incipient reviewer to incipient reviewer E. Pound." Sir Francis Meynell was a poet, a printer, and the founder of the Nonesuch Press; there is no note in Gallup of either reviewing the other's work. In 1915 Meynell (a Catholic) complained to Pound about the title of the Catholic Anthology, which the latter edited for Elkin Mathews. Gallup A3a.
