A collection of approximately 17 valentine cards in one album, some pierced paper lace, some cameo embossed, centres vary from hand-coloured to chromolithographic, some with fabric flowers and leaves, one with printed verse 'All things possess a love divine, The flowers that bloom, the birds that fly, Then surely this poor heart of mine is not condemned alone to die', some with hand-coloured borders and silver and gilded details, subjects include Flowers, Cherubs and Amorous Couples, makers include Wood, circa 1860-70; together with a selection of Greeting Cards and general ephemera including a victorian heart-shaped soap in two halves, the inside moulded to form a shell-shaped hollow, possibly for a jewel c. 1870.
