"The Athenian Gazette afterwards the Athenian Mercury [was] published weekly from 17 March 1689-90 to 8 Feb.1695-6. This was designed as a kind of Notes and Queries. Dunton carried it on with the help of Richard Sault and Samuel Wesley, with occasional help from John Norris" (DNB).
