Thaxter & Son, Boston, engraved with the cardinal points, the edge-bar needle with jewelled cap and clamp, the scale divided in 4 quadrants, the shaped limb with level and cross-bubble, 2 sights and universal tripod staff mounting, with makers trade label, in fitted mahogany case - 15½in. (39.4cm.) wide, with tripod.
