An embossed and pierced paperlace valentine card stamp marked Dobbs, the hand-coloured centre of two seals, titled in manuscript 'The Seal of Love', the standing Seal singing 'Come to my Arms/Our love & bliss/Shall then be/Sealed with a/kiss', lifting to reveal a concealed message 'You are the Joy/Of my heart', laid down on paper, 7 x 4½in., c. 1840-60; with a contemporary embossed envelope.
