Three embossed and pierced paperlace cards, all stamp marked Mansell, one entitled the 'Ladies Companion', the centre applied with a hand-coloured lithographed bag, lifting to reveal various labelled items, the verse reads 'I send you a Ladies Companion, my love/A friends fond affection in order to prove/But the Ladies Companion I'll send if I can/Shall be an accomplished & handsome/young man', another applied with a book opening to reveal a hand-coloured lithograph of a young lady sewing, L. 7½ x 5in., c. 1850-60.
