A well engineered 1:12 scale model of a single cylinder 'A' frame beam engine built by W.K.Walsome. Measurements overall -- 14 x 15½in (35.5 x 39.5cm)
With cylinder 7/8in bore x 2¼in stroke, inward facing valve chest, decorative parallel motion with barrelled anchor and radius links, split bearings, floor mounted main stop valve with lagged steam line, rod driven underfloor mounted feed pump and water tank, barrelled fluted connecting rod with jibbed and cottered big end, pierced eccentric rod and frames and spoked flywheel. Finished in brown and polished brightwork and mounted on a planked wooden floor on simulated stone walls with steps on a wooden planked base.
