A sturdily constructed model of a Peel Williams single cylinder four-pillar beam engine, built to the designs of Tubal Cain. -- 10 x 14½in (25 x 37cm)
With cylinder 7/8 inch bore x 2¼ inch stroke, parallel motion with over-mounted anchor links radiused from main gudgeon plummer blocks, feed pump, centrally mounted belt and gear-driven Watt type governor with linkage and butterfly valve, main stop valve and pipework, barrelled fluted connecting rod with strapped big and little ends and spoked flywheel. Mounted on cast bed, finished in green and polished brightwork, glazed cover.
