A Victorian gobular floral and foliate-stamped three-piece tea service on scroll feet and with foliate-decorated scroll handles, the teapot with rising curved spout and domed hinged cover with circular ivory finial, the milk jug and sugar basin gilt-lined, with a pair of sugar tongs with fluted bowls, in a fitted plush and satin-lined leather case, the interior applied with a plaque engraved "Presented to Mrs Scarr by a few friends in the Barkston Ash Division as a souvenir of the Election of 1892, and in recognition of the interest show by her in the contest, in which her husband Alderman Scarr was Liberal candidate August 1892; Findlay and Taylor, London 1889- height of teapot 5½in., 22.05oz. gross.
