A well presented, fully rigged and planked model of H.M.S. 'Victory' built by I.R. Aitken - 35 x 49ins (89 x 124.5cms).
With bound masts, yards with stunsail booms, standing and running rigging and deck details including figurehead, hair rails, heads, gratings, anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads, belaying rails and pins, deck-rails, companionways, stove-pipe, ship's bell with canopy over, bitts, shot racks and shot, hammock nettings, firebox, stern and other details. The fully planked hull has open gun ports and carved stern and quarter gallery detailing. Finished in natural wood with gilded decoration. Stand, mahogany glazed case.
