A South German ivory-inlaid, ebony, rosewood and parquetry cabinet, with earred canted rectangular moulded cornice, the architectural centrepiece with a pedimented aedicule above an inverted breakfront cornice and central niche opening to reveal a mirror-lined interior with a further niche and a parquetry floor, above a further drawer flanked by eight raised moulded panelled drawers, each simulated as two small drawers with a central rectangular mirrored panel and lined with marbilised paper, between pilaster-enriched canted angles, the sides geometrically-inlaid with a cross within a bowed rectangular panel, on a moulded triple-breakfront plinth, one drawer-front replaced, another drawer re-lined, late 17th century -- 47in. (119.5cm.) wide, 17in. (43cm.) deep, 26½in. (67cm.) high.
