A 19th century oak eight day longcase clock, the hood with swan neck pediment and fluted column uprights, the arched painted Arabic dial with subsiduary seconds and date rings, signed J STONE, AYLESBURY, the arch with automaton figure of a woodsman with axe, the trunk with corinthian column pilasters flanking an ebony strung door on a plain plinth, with weight, pendulum and winder -- 81½in. (207cm.) high.
