Blue interlaced L's enclosing date letters ii for 1786, painter's mark for Pierre, le jeune
Painted in the neo-classic style with concentric bands of blue and pink foliate scallops supporting pink roses between gilt line, of a wide band of blue foliate scrolls centering iron-red urns and lavender alternate with iron-red scrolls supporting iron-red black and gilt paterae on the yellow ground, and of a gilt laurel vine between gilt lines
2 5/8in. (6.6cm.) high, the cup; 5 3/8in. (13.6cm.) diam., the saucer
